ADAS Camera Recalibration

Camera and sensor recalibration after a windshield replacement.

Modern vehicles aim lane-keeping, adaptive cruise, automatic braking and collision alerts through a camera mounted behind the rearview mirror. That camera is positioned against the glass — so when the windshield comes out, the aim has to be reset. We recalibrate after replacement so those systems keep working the way they were designed to.

Common questions

Does every vehicle need recalibration?+

No. It's determined by your vehicle's manufacturer and whether the camera sits against the windshield. We confirm what yours requires before any work starts, and we don't charge for it if it isn't needed.

What systems does recalibration affect?+

Lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision alerts and automatic braking — anything aimed through that camera.

Can recalibration be done in my driveway?+

It depends on the method your vehicle uses. Some need a level, controlled space with targets; others are done on a verification drive. We'll tell you which when you request a quote.
